Travelling between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane for family has become a pretty consistent necessity over the past 13 or so years of living in the region. Combine that with childhood memories of roadtripping around the NT, north and central Queensland and you get a pretty great appreciation for the Australian landscape. What I love most about this country is how wide and varied it is. There is always a long expanse of ‘nothing’ when you roadtrip around Australia, going from one place to the next. Nothing but bush, termite mounds or desert etc. for miles. These are the places I find unforgettable, and truly alive.
